annie sat at the bar, watching some of the band work on setting up the drum kit. there were many reasons why annie wasn't allowed near the drum kit. once, she'd put her foot through one of the skins. there was another time when she'd dropped the cymbals on her foot. normally, annie going near the drums ended in disaster. so instead, she was drinking orange juice at the bar after grayson had banned her from drinking alcohol before a gig. finishing her juice, annie moved up to the stage and started wiring in her amp and guitar, before leaving them to sit.
now was the awkward part of any gig; waiting for it to start. it was only the early evening and they weren't due to play until half past eight. luckily, one of the lads walked in at that moment with a bag of fish and chips. annie all but pounced on him. "thank you thank you thank you!" she said with a huge grin on her face, grabbing her portion and sitting back at the bar with it. hers was always easily spotted. it was the only one without salt or vinegar on. "for your voice" her brother would always say, but it worked anyway since vinegar made annie want to throw up.
annie sat down with her bandmates, relaxed. this tour was definitely the best part of her life so far. her best friends, her brother and plenty of alcohol. the guys liked to buy her drinks after her set. tonight she was meant to be staying relatively sober, since they had an early call tomorrow morning to set up at the university student union. still, that had never stopped her. as the hours passed and annie's set started and finished, she found herself back at the bar with a malibu and coke in hand. definitely the best part of her life.

Seven PM. Ellie had just finished her homework, so she thought she'd go out and see the town ,since she was still new to America. As she walks out, she has on a purple short skirt, that obviously showed her diaper, but she didn't care. She had on a black top, and biker gloves, as well as her glasses, which were round, black and very stylish. Ellie had been such a baroness of fashion, lately. As she walks into the bar, she spots someone, so she decides to introduce herself. As her black hair bounces, as she walks, and her pacifier swings back and forth, she speaks. "Oh hi there! She said. "My name is Ellie, short for Danielle. Danielle Lively. Please, call me Ellie. What's your name hun?" She stated, as she sat down, waiting a response, dirty look, or something. She pulled out her purple Iphone and began to check her messages, as she waited an answer of some kind.

while everyone was laughing and dancing, annie behaved and stuck to her soft drinks after the malibu. she could feel her brother's eyes on her from across the room as it was. when someone dropped into the seat next to her. annie looked up and grinned brightly. "hello! i'm annie. nice to meet ya." her voice showed a slight accent from her brighton upbringing, but otherwise she fit right in with the canterbury crowd. of course, annie noticed everything the girl was wearing but for canterbury, it wasn't too unusual. she lived with four men constantly, she wasn't really into judging people all that much.
"what brings you in here tonight?" annie asked conversationally, whistling to the barman for another coke. she was annoyed by the lack of alcohol in her system, but her brother kept shooting her looks and she knew the boys would come and check on her soon. she didn't really fancy them being serious tonight. when the mid week show came around they would get completely drunk together, but until then she'd have to wait. flicking her hair back over her shoulder, she continued to provoke conversation. "this is a student bar right? so you're from the uni?"

"I wouldn't know, love. But I am a freshman at the school. I'm new to England and thought I'd take a look around, and I found this place. But should you guys need a roadie or helper, I'll help you. Though you probably wouldn't want someone in nappies that has to use a dummy. That's why I've been turned down everywhere I've tried. People think I'm too much of a baby." She said, smiling. Baby, maybe, but that's the way she wanted things. As she took a drink from a baby bottle that she pulled out of her Gucci bag, and took a drink, she noticed people staring, but she didn't care. She'd been this way for ages and didn't plan on changing now or anytime soon.

annie listened to ellie, thinking about her odd way of talking. she didn't seem to pause for breath, which annie could appreciate. she didn't like talking slowly either. she tended to say everything all at once and then breathe afterwards while people tended to argue with her. still, the constant stream of information turned out to be quite tricky to follow; annie made a mental note to slow herself down for people in future. cutting the information up into small chunks, she began replying to danielle between sips of her drink. "freshman? i guess you mean you're a first year. nice one. what's your degree in?" the conversation then turned off into territory that annie wasn't totally comfortable in but she could deal with, slightly.
"we can't afford roadies or helpers, we do all the stuff ourselves in the band. s'cool though. the boys are all strong and i just sit around looking pretty." she explained, looking around for some of the boys to introduce to her new, if a little bit odd, friend. "hey i'm not gonna judge whatever floats your boat, as long as you don't try and get me into it, okay? s'like religion - it's fine for christmas and easter but any other time of the year i don't really want to go to church." she explained further, her grin easily visible in the dark of the bar. she sipped her drink again; canterbury was so full of odd people that it took a lot to shock most of the locals. annie, however, was from brighton, where there were much weirder things on the streets than fully grown women wearing nappies. much, much weirder.
